Back to the US

After living a little over three months in Belgium, the time has come for me to return back to the United States. My heart is, of course, heavy as I already miss so much from living abroad, like frequently stopping at la patisserie for un pain au chocolat before work, getting lost in the winding and senseless streets of Brussels and practicing my french daily with everybody and anybody I encountered.

The experience of living somewhere new, where you don’t know a single soul, is really something unexplainable and priceless. There’s a liberating feeling to it, and I hope to experience it over and over again throughout my life.

I learned more than I could have ever imagined, ate probably too much and created so many memories that I constantly get lost day dreaming about them-meeting new friends over a Chuval, Halloween in Amsterdam, the smell of Belgian waffles, late-night frites with my roommates, visiting hometown friends in Rome and learning the history of a divided yet beautiful country.

While a picture is worth a thousand words, a video is worth a million. Hopefully, both can perfectly express the experience of studying abroad.
